Updating a few things

Wednesday January 28th, 2009

Have really let the BlogCore go for the past few months, as much more important updates were needed. Warpcore has advanced to version 2.3 and a beta of 2.5, Gallery Core is in full testing with a Release Candidate, and LabAgent is in full development. Finally getting back around to my pet project, the Blog/Twit system.. Tonights changes are simple modifications to incorporate parts of Warpcore 2.3, so development can get underway once again. Testing out a few updates to the system.. Major upgrades are about to be enabled.

Blog System Finally Online

Saturday September 22nd, 2007

Diary of a Mad Scientist is finally online. A few more test messages will likely pop up and disappear as various settings are torture tested. The BlogCore plug-in for WarpCore 2.0 is almost set for a release version. This is yet again, another test to ensure all functions are working and that the AUGEN database is fully functioning.

Still need to implement the Time-Zone conversion routine (Currently everything is in EST), and the dynamic page titles based on blog entry.

Bama game was great, it's a shame they lost in overtime. They still have some work to do. JPW seemed a bit rattled thru the game, but made some fantastic plays. Biggest problems, Georgia is and always has been a very Aggressive team, Bama tends to play offense more "mobile" and "thought-out" with very little outright "Aggression". Certainly we have some Aggressive plays, but overall, we are more threatening and play smart football over Aggressive football. We've got to learn to do both. Be smart and ruthlessly aggressive in the face of an opponent that spins twirls jukes and moves the ball. Overall I was pleased with Bama's progress. It was a loss, but they adapted and hopefully will continue to grow with Saban at the helm.

Now I am off for some ice-cream, before a bit more coding, and turning in for the night.

Bama pulls it off in the final few seconds!

Sunday September 16th, 2007

Wow, what an amazing, edge of the seat, full of suspense Alabama vs Arkansas game tonight. Alabama opened up a major can on Arkansas in the first quarter, pounding them with a non-relenting defense, and a passing game that had been unseen until tonight.

Unfortunately in the second quarter, their offense passed thru an uncharted fissure in space-time, totally disappearing. Shortly after half time, the defense apparently stumbled upon the same rip in space and dimensions, and disappeared as well. Everyone was looking for them, even the refs were confused, making obvious bad calls (such as missing an absolutlely unmissable interference call that changed the course of the game). One can only assume that the fissure in space was causing a mass panic on the field, as players with the same names, but from a parallel universe, took to the field, bobbling balls, throwing interceptions, and standing confused instead of blocking.

Luckily the anomoly reversed itself late in the 4th quarter, as both offense and defense re-emerged energized and powerful in the last seconds of the game, to pull off an unexpected turn around victory.
